This role involves managing quality systems, conducting internal audits, supporting external audits, and ensuring the factory maintains its accreditation. The officer plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement within the quality systems and processes.Role Responsibilities Technical System Maintenance: Oversee the management, documentation and continuous improvement of Brownes Quality Management systemInternal Auditing: Manage internal audits end-to-end and support external audits to verify compliance with our quality management system and regulatory complianceIdentify areas for improvement through audit findings and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actionsReport and manage corrective actions from audit findingsAccreditation Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards (e.g. HACCP)Laboratory Maintenance: Oversee the daily laboratory operations and activities including the management of staff and suppliesRequirements: A degree level qualification in Food Science, Dairy. The Role

The Technical Services Officer is responsible for supporting the quality team by ensuring technical compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role involves managing quality systems, conducting internal audits, supporting external audits, and ensuring the factory maintains its accreditation. Role Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for improvement through audit findings and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions

  • Laboratory Maintenance: Oversee the daily laboratory operations and activities including the management of staff and supplies

Requirements:

  • A degree level qualification in Food Science, Dairy. Microbiology or a similar field will be highly regarded – This is not a deal breaker so we still encourage you to apply!
  • Proven experience in a similar role focussing on technical, quality assurance or compliance
  • Strong understanding of food safety management systems
  • Experience managing and supporting audit processes both internal and external
